Dr. LaFont was born and raised in Lafourche Parish. He received his undergraduate degree at Nicholls State University and completed his Doctorate of Optometry at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.

He completed his institutional externship at Willis Knighton Eye Institute in Shreveport, LA and a private externship in Covington, LA. He graduated Summa cum Laude and, upon graduation, was granted the Excellence in Low Vision award.

Dr. LaFont practices full scope family eye care with an emphasis on migraine, concussion, and brain injury care, dry eye treatment, low vision services, and specialty contact lenses.
